Mangora
Privacy
1. Who we are
Mangora is run by Mangora, Brunei Darussalam. This page says what we collect about you, why and what you can ask us to do.
2. What we collect
From everyone with an account
- Your name, email and password. The password is stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read.
- That you are 16 or older, which you confirm when you join.
- Your Brunei mobile number, to confirm you are in Brunei and to send you codes.
From food lovers and influencers
- Your Instagram and TikTok usernames.
- What is public on those accounts: number of followers, how old the account is, your recent posts and how many people watch them.
- Samples of recent public videos for signup and monthly level checks. Trial Reels and videos originally published by another account do not count in Instagram level samples.
- The one time code you send to show an account is yours. If you send it by direct message, we read that message and nothing else in the conversation.
- The promotions you ask to post for, your picks, the videos you choose and the links to the posts you make for Mangora.
- For each of those posts, every 24 hours: how many people watched it and its likes and comments.
- Your bank details, so we can pay you.
- Warnings on your account, if any.
From shops
- The name, address, kind of shop and business registration number of the shop.
- The name and contact details of the person who runs the account.
- The photos, words and logos you upload.
- Your promotions, payments and credit.
From everyone who visits
- Basic details your browser sends, such as the kind of device and the pages you open, so we can keep the site working and safe.
We never ask for your Instagram or TikTok password and we never log in to your account.
Optional Google sign in
If you connect Google, we keep the Google account identifier and email address so we can recognise you when you sign in. We do not receive your Google password or request access to Gmail, contacts or files. Google handles its own sign in and privacy choices. You can disconnect Google in Password and devices. If you have a Mangora password, you can still sign in with your email and password.
3. Why we use it
- To make and protect your account.
- To check that you can join and to place you in a level.
- To show food lovers and influencers the promotions on the Buzz Board and to pick who posts.
- To check that posts are up and to count how many people watched them.
- To pay food lovers and influencers and to keep records of payments from shops.
- To show a shop the results of its promotion.
- To send you alerts about your account, by email, on the site or by text message.
- To stop cheating, such as fake followers or one person with many accounts.
- To meet the law.
4. Who sees it
- Shops see the username, level and post of each person who posted about them and how many people watched. Shops do not see your email, mobile number or bank details.
- Food lovers and influencers see the name, address and offers of shops. They do not see the contact details of the person who runs the shop account.
- Our team sees what it needs to run Mangora.
- Services used to run Mangora: A hosting company runs the platform. Partners read the public numbers of social accounts and posts. An email company delivers our emails. WhatsApp carries your codes and the updates you choose. Google provides optional sign in. Each receives only what it needs for that job and has its own privacy rules. We never share your bank details or private contact details with the partners that read public numbers.
- The authorities, if the law requires it.
We do not sell your details.
5. How long we keep it
- While your account is open.
- We keep required payment and accounting records for 7 years from the relevant tax assessment year and longer where a legal requirement, unsettled obligation or hold applies.
- This does not mean keeping every profile detail, social sample or chat for that period. After account closure, we remove personal details that are no longer needed once posts and payments are settled and any legal retention duties are identified.
- Codes are deleted soon after they are used or run out.
6. Where it is kept
On servers run for us by DigitalOcean, which may be outside Brunei. We ask every service we use to keep your details safe.
7. Keeping it safe
We limit who on our team can see personal details, we store passwords in a scrambled form and we use a secure connection for the site. No system is perfectly safe, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.
8. What you can ask for
You can ask us to:
- Show you the details we hold about you.
- Correct details that are wrong.
- Close your account and delete your details, apart from records we must keep.
- Stop sending you messages that are not needed to run your account.

9. Young people

We also send the mobile codes you ask for through WhatsApp. You can reply STOP at any time. We keep your choice and its date.
We use your verified mobile number and delivery records. WhatsApp has its own privacy rules. Private payment and case details stay in your signed in account. Text questions sent to the Mangora number can become help cases. We do not import chat history, group chats, photos, voice notes or attachments. Encrypted pending text is cleared after it has been processed into the help record.
Mangora sends WhatsApp messages from its own numbers through a linked device. The way we connect to WhatsApp may change.
